How to play

Takes a few minutes. You grab a small starter client and the rest of the game downloads while you play.

  1. Make an account

You log in with your email address and a password (8–16 characters).

    Create account
  2. Download the game

LimitlessClient.zip (about 60 MB) has the Legion 7.3.5 client and the Limitless Launcher. You don't need another WoW install.

    Download LimitlessClient.zip

If your browser says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", pick Keep (Edge: … → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway).

  3. Extract it

Right-click the zip → Extract All… into a simple folder like C:\Games\Limitless. Don't use Program Files or OneDrive folders (Desktop, Documents), because the game saves its downloads next to itself.

  4. If Windows blocks it

The launcher isn't code-signed yet and it loads our features into the game, so Windows sometimes flags it. It's safe. Here's how to get past each warning:

"Windows protected your PC" (blue SmartScreen box)

Click More info, then Run anyway. Windows remembers the choice.

Defender deleted or blocked a file (the launcher won't start, or says a file is missing)
    1. Open Start → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection.
    2. Under Virus & threat protection settings click Manage settings, scroll to Exclusions and click Add or remove exclusions.
    3. Click Add an exclusion → Folder and select your Limitless folder (e.g. C:\Games\Limitless). Only exclude this folder.
    4. Get the deleted file back: in Virus & threat protection open Protection history, pick the Limitless item and hit Actions → Restore. Or just extract the zip again into the same folder.
Another antivirus (Avast, AVG, Norton, Bitdefender…) blocked it

Add the Limitless folder to that program's exceptions (usually under Settings → Exceptions or Exclusions) and restore the file from its quarantine, or re-extract the zip.

  5. Play

Run LimitlessLauncher.exe, log in with your email and password and hit Play. First launch grabs about 250 MB before the login screen. After that, zones, models and music download as you go and stay on your disk.

What you get with the launcher

The launcher

  • One-click play: hit Play and it starts the game, logs you in and picks the realm.
  • Stay logged in: it remembers your login on this PC until you log out.
  • Streaming install: no big download up front. Game data comes in while you play and stays on disk.
  • Auto updates: new maps, models and fixes download next time you start the game.
  • News: latest patch notes from the server.
  • Characters and account: your characters (level, class, race) plus your vote and donation points.
  • Realm status and errors: shows if the server is up and explains game errors in plain English.

In game (on by default)

  • Newer races and customization: newer races with their full character creator and barber shop options, and your gear shows on them.
  • Better terrain: ground blends up to eight textures instead of Legion's four.
  • Retail-style lighting: interiors and lamps are lit like on retail.
  • Newer shaders: models ported from later expansions look like they should.
  • Longer view distance.
  • Pings: mark places, enemies and spells for your party or raid.

Addons included

  • Limitless Forge: equipment upgrades and the reworked class spellbook (/classrework).
  • Limitless Systems: the Alt Team console (/jade) and Hero Paths (/heropath).
  • Limitless Guide: a movable starter-quest guide (/guide).
  • Limitless Ping: the ping wheel and keybinds.
  • WowEdit Tools: shows your position at the top of the screen (/wedev). Handy for bug reports with exact coords.

They install and update on their own. No need to copy anything into Interface\AddOns.

What it touches on your PC: the launcher only writes to its own folder, plus your saved login in %LOCALAPPDATA%\LegionLauncher, encrypted so only your Windows account can read it. It only loads our features into the game it starts, nothing else. That's why some antivirus programs flag it until it's code-signed.
